More to Come
"All right, so where do I go now?" I shifted into reverse and twisted my steering wheel to the right. I'd never gone to that school before and had never considered checking out the route, presuming that what I had in mind was correct. There were a lot of cars in front of me. "It has to be the way to the school." It was so packed that I decided to check on Google to see if that was the right way. Otherwise, I would end up wasting more time without actually being on the correct route.
‘Sekolah Kebangsaan Sultan Ismail’
The school's name was prominently
written on the school's main gate, which could be seen from afar. There was
still another final turn I had to make before I could actually get to the
school. I went to the main gate as soon as I parked my car and asked the guard
for directions to the office. He said it would be on the second floor of the
first building I saw when I looked in the direction he pointed.
"Hello, my name is Nur Dhini
Izwahanim, and I'm a student at IPG Kampus Pendidikan Teknik. I'm here for my
SBE, and I've been told that my campus has sent a letter to the school. This is
the letter of statement." She presented me to Puan Aminah, GPK of SK
Sultan Ismail, after I showed her the letter I had printed the night before.
She also assigned Puan Majidah as my mentor after we discussed what I
expected from my assignments.
Puan Majidah, on the other hand, was
on medical leave and was unable to assist me for the day. "Would it be
possible for me to take her class?" I asked Puan Aminah as I have
been looking forward to meet the pupils for the first time in a long time.
"Are you able to handle it on your own, or do you require the assistance
of another teacher?" I had previously managed a class during my first SBE
and believed that I could do so again. Puan Aminah agreed and requested that I
send a text message to the relief teacher in advance.
“Assalamualaikum, teacher.” The pupils
stood up and greeted me, albeit with a puzzled expression on their faces. They
eventually understood why I was there instead of Puan Majidah after I
introduced myself. "Let's play some games, shall we? Have you ever tried
your hand at HangMan?" Even though they had never heard of HangMan, they
were ecstatic when they heard the word ‘game’.
It was difficult to get them to
understand the game at first because I was explaining it in English, but after
they did, they were all able to participate and cooperate well, even if they
were a little too enthusiastic at times and it was difficult to hear the
correct answer due to the noise. When I asked them to take a seat and raised
their hands, they immediately fell silent and realised they had been too
loud. My first day at SK Sultan Ismail went well and I had a good time playing
games with the pupils. I was looking forward to the next day and hoped that
things would get better with each passing day.

I like your story. I could feel your feelings regarding your first day of SBE. Keep it up.
